The Jammu and Kashmir State Council for Educational Research and Training (JK-SCERT) is expected to release the results of the 8th standard on April 10. According to a top official who spoke to Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the results have been prepared and all the necessary processes have been completed. The official further added that once the results are announced, academic activities will commence immediately, within a week’s time.

The 8th standard examinations began on February 27 and ended on March 10. With the results set to be released, students and parents are eagerly waiting for the outcome.

In other news, the Annual Transfer Drive (ATD) for teaching staff of School Education Department may take some time to start. The official explained that the ATD will begin once everything is set, and the online links will be opened accordingly.

The official also addressed concerns about the disparity of working hours in schools within and outside Srinagar Municipal Limits. Previously, the timing for government and private schools in Srinagar Municipal Limits was from 9AM to 3PM in April, while schools outside Municipal Limits operated from 10AM to 4PM. However, the government recently announced new working hours for schools in Srinagar Municipal Limits, which will now be from 9AM to 2PM. The timing for schools outside Municipal Limits remained unchanged, resulting in a one-hour disparity.

The official assured that a decision regarding the new timing for schools within Srinagar Municipal Limits will be made soon. Students and parents alike are hoping for a swift resolution to this issue.
