The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has taken a significant step towards instilling a sense of patriotism and national pride among government officers and officials of the Education Department. In a recent order issued for Independence Day celebrations in 2023, the DSEJ has urged all employees to proudly hoist the tricolor atop their houses, upholding the flag code guidelines with utmost respect.

No Leaves Allowed: Government Employees in Education Department to Commemorate Independence Day
Attendance on Independence Day is deemed mandatory for all government employees in the education department, with exceptions allowed only for exceptional circumstances. The directive aims to ensure maximum participation in the celebrations to commemorate the nation’s freedom.

To further promote the spirit of unity and patriotism, the DSEJ has encouraged government officers and officials to display their support by using selfies with the image of the National Flag, Earth, and Earthen Lamp as their profile pictures on various social media platforms.

The responsibility of ensuring active student and teacher participation in the “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign has been assigned to the CEOs. This move intends to strengthen the connection between the younger generation and their homeland, fostering a deep-rooted love for the country.

In a bid to celebrate Independence Day with vibrancy and enthusiasm, special events like National Anthem singing, essay writing, debates, Prabhat pheris, and sports competitions are scheduled to be organized in all schools. Participants will have a chance to win prizes, inspiring them to showcase their talents and dedication towards their nation.

Independence Day Speeches
The Independence Day speeches are expected to highlight the government’s commendable initiatives under various schemes, including Digital J&K, Corruption-free J&K, Swacchhta (Cleanliness), Nasha Mukt Bharat (Addiction-free India), completed projects, Jan Bhagidari (Public Participation), and Aap Ki Zameen Aap ki Nigrani (Your Land, Your Supervision). These speeches will underscore the government’s commitment to progress and public welfare.

To create a lasting impact and demonstrate their dedication to cleanliness and hygiene, special cleanliness drives will be organized in all government offices and schools on this auspicious occasion.

Through this order, the DSEJ aims to foster a sense of national pride, unity, and responsibility among government teachers and officials, encouraging them to actively contribute to the nation’s growth and development. Let this Independence Day be a testament to the indomitable spirit and unwavering commitment of J&K’s educators towards building a stronger and prosperous India.
