Assault on Class 8 Student by Colleague Results in Injury in Sopore

A student in the 8th standard of the Imperial Institution Nathipora in Sopore was assaulted by a classmate on Thursday afternoon. The attack occurred after the victim had finished taking an exam for his 8th-grade class at a government high school in Tujjar. The incident resulted in the victim, identified as Salib Ashraf, receiving a head injury from a sharp-edged tool wielded by his assailant.

According to an official statement, Salib was immediately rushed to the sub-district hospital in Sopore, where his condition is stated to be stable. The police have taken cognisance of the incident and launched an investigation in this regard.
